Banana Hammock Split

Ingredients
1 firm banana
1 waffle cone
3 scoops of ice cream
(Gracie’s favorites)
Coconut
Coffee
Salted caramel
1/2 cube butter
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 package semi-sweet chocolate
3 tbsp Kahlua
1/2 package milk chocolate
1/2 cup shredded coconut
Preparation
Sauces
(If you want to save time, purchase your favorite sauces at the store)
Salted Caramel Sauce: 1 cup sugar,1/2 cup water to a boil for 7-8 minutes until nice caramel
color. Remove from heat. Gently stir in 3/4 cup creme, 3 tbsp salted
butter and 1 tsp sea salt . Stir and let cool.
Chocolate Kahlua: melt 1/2 package semi sweet chocolate morselsin small saucepan. When
melted add 3 tablespoons Kahlua. Stir and set aside.
Chocolate Coconut: melt milk chocolate morsels. Add 1/2 cup shredded coconut. Stir and set
aside.
Banana Split
Dampen the waffle cone and place in covered moistened bowl. (Make your own if you can)
Place in microwave for 10-15 seconds to soften cone. Place cone on cutting board and with
thin blade knife, cut the side of the cone against the board to avoid cracking/chipping. Rotate
cone and cut other side leaving 2 halves. Place 3 scoops (your favorite flavors) ice cream sideby-side
on plate and immediately apply whipped cream across all 3 scoops. Set the 2 halves of
sugar cone into the bed of whipped cream creating the Banana Hammock.
Place the peeled banana into the hammock and quickly (ice cream is melting) drizzle the 3
toppings over the banana. Top with cherries.
